Returns Policy

Leader Doors operates a 7 Day, No Hassle Returns Policy on all orders.
 
Here at Leader Doors we believe that you will be fully satisfied with your products, however, we do understand that when purchasing from the internet it is not always possible to see how a product will look in it's final application.
 
If you are not completely satisfied with your products for any reason at all, we are happy to accept returns in accordance with the policy below.
 
Returns Policy for Cancelled Orders
  1. We will gladly accept returns, hassle free, providing they are sent back to us in the original packaging and are in grade A condition, within 7 days of receipt of your order.
  2. All goods MUST be inspected for any defects in accordance with our Delivery Policy section 'Checking of Goods' and any issues/damages reported within 24 hours of receipt.
  3. You must notify us in writing of the reason for your return within 7 days of receipt.
  4. If goods are to be returned for any reason other than manufacturing defects or damage, you will need to return the goods back to us, securely packaged and in the condition which they were received, at your cost via your chosen courier. (We recommend using a service called Parcel2Go, but you may wish to make other arrangements.)
  5. In some circumstances we may be able to arrange to pick up the items; however a handling charge will be deducted from your refund. This charge is determined on an individual order basis and will be given to you at the point of notification of return. 
  6. If you live in the United Kingdom you have a legal right to cancel your order for up to 7 days after you have received and inspected the goods.
  7. You will not have any right to cancel a contract for the supply of any of the following products: Products made and/or finished to your personalised/bespoke specification, including but not limited to spray finishes (where the work has been commenced) and pre-hung or external composite door sets. Any items listed on the website as more than 20 working day lead time, are classed as made to order items and cannot be cancelled after ordering.
  8. Should you decide to return the products you must notify us of the cancellation in writing (by post to the address '103 Whitby Street South, Hartlepool, TS24 7LH' or by email to customerservices@leaderdoors.co.uk marked “Returns”) within 7 working days of receipt of the goods.
  9. If returning goods you are under a legal duty not to use the products and to take care of them. This includes all packaging and labeling. Care must be taken to ensure that the goods remain in the best possible condition. Please take particular care with goods that are easily damaged or require erection or installation.  If you need guidance on the best way to inspect any item without damaging it, please contact us.
  10. No Statutory cancellation rights apply to products that have been specifically made to your requirements, design or measurements. Goods made to a customer’s specific order or measurements will not be accepted for cancellation or return. This does not affect your statutory rights relating to faulty or mis-described goods. For further information about your statutory rights, contact your local Trading Standards Department or Citizen’s Advice Bureau.
  11. If you do not return the goods within 21 days of your cancellation notice, we may choose to recover the goods from you, and if we do so, to charge you for the cost of doing so.  If, despite sending a cancellation notice, you do not return the goods or fail to make them available for collection within 30 days of your notice of cancellation, you will be deemed to have accepted the goods, at which point a new purchase contract will be made, and if we have already granted a refund, you will be re-charged for your order at the price set out on the web site.
  12. When you return Goods to us in a condition which indicates that they have been used or attempted to be installed or erected after you have had a reasonable chance to inspect them, we will consider you to be in breach of your legal duty to take reasonable care of the goods and reserve the right to recover appropriate sums from you.
  13. Refunds will be processed within 28 working days of receipt of any returned items.
Returns Policy for Damaged or Faulty Goods
  1. All goods MUST be inspected for any defects in accordance with our Delivery Policy section 'Checking of Goods' and any issues reported within 24 hours of receipt.
  2. You must notify us in writing of the reason for your return within 24 hours of receipt.
  3. At the point of notification we will kindly ask for photographic evidence of any damages or faults to be forwarded through to customerservices@leaderdoors.co.uk. This aids us in an claims procedure we pursue with our carriers.
  4. Once damage or faults have been reported we will endeavour to arrange a replacement item to be delivered and the damaged or faulty goods to be picked up, at a convenient time for you. This may incur longer lead times in the case of special order items.
  5. Where we agree that an exchange of goods is appropriate, we reserve the right to charge you our costs for delivering the exchange goods to you.  Similarly if goods are returned as un-delivered, and we agree to re-send them to you, you will have to pay the additional delivery costs.
  6. You may not return Goods as damaged or faulty following the installation or erection of any Goods, unless the defect / damage was not ascertainable until after installation.
  7. We reserve the right to request all faulty/defective goods are returned to us to aid our claims process with the manufacturer.

  11. All goods are inspected thoroughly before dispatch, and are deemed to be in a saleable condition upon dispatch.

Cancellations & Returns

If the door(s) is returned to us we will offer you a full refund as long as you have contacted us by email. You will receive a full refund providing you have returned the goods to us within 7 days of receiving them. The product should be unopened. If we receive the product and it is not in the same condition we sent it or it has missing components we will charge you for the cost of the missing components.

Refunds are processed as soon as the returned goods have been checked for damage. We will refund through the same payment method that was used for your purchase. Delivery charges will not be refunded under any circumstances where the customer has ordered the goods incorrectly and the goods have been delivered. If an exchange of goods is required we will charge again for delivery at the full rate.

If we are not able to deliver the goods through no fault of our own, for example, no one is there to sign for and accept the goods, we will need to charge for re-delivery at the full rate. We will not accept cancellation of the goods if we experience problems with delivery that is out of our control.
