Engineered for greater resistance to twisting, warping and splitting
Finishing
Prior to installation, it is essential to coat all faces and edges of both
the frames and the doors with a good quality sealer to protect from
moisture ingress.
At least 3 topcoats will be necessary on top of the sealer coat to
adequately seal and protect the wood.
Failure to undertake this may result in shrinkage, warping, twisting
and splitting of the frame and the doors.
Water based stains, paints or varnishes are not recommended.
Installation
Brick Wall [ W4, W6 & W8 ]
The brick wall should be lined with polythene in between the
brickwork and the frame.
Stud Wall [ W4, W6 & W8 ]
The opening of the plasterboard faced stud wall needs to be lined
with wood onto which the frame can be fixed.
If the wall is thinner than the frame width (133mm) the frame width
can be reduced.
