Delivery & Packaging Charges

At Leader Doors we operate a delivery policy of charging for delivery & packaging on a per item basis. We know that our customers expect to receive their door(s) promptly and safely, and therefore we take care in using the correct packaging to ensure your goods arrive as expected.

In order for us to offer competitive product pricing we do incorporate a packaging charge in with the delivery charges set out below. We have a minimum charge of £9.99 exclusive of VAT which will be adjusted accordingly as items are added to the basket. We do cap all delivery charges at a maximum charge, based on the delivery locations set out below meaning you will never pay more than the prices outlined below;

  • Wales - Min: £9.99 +VAT / Max: £29.99 +VAT
  • Lower Scotland - Min: £9.99 +VAT / Max: £29.99 +VAT
Delivery Group 2
  • Northern Ireland - Min: £24.99 +VAT / Max: £59.99 +VAT
  • Isle of Wight - Min: £24.99 +VAT / Max: £59.99 +VAT
Delivery Group 3
  • Northern Scotland (Postcodes AB, DD, FK, HS, IV, KW, KY, PA & PH) - Min: £39.99 +VAT / Max: £79.99 +VAT
  • Republic of Ireland - Min: £39.99 +VAT / Max: £79.99 +VAT
Delivery Group 4
  • Offshore UK (Scottish Isles, Isle of Man & any offshore location that isn't in another delivery group) - Set Charge: £199.99 +VAT

Delivery Group 5
  • Channel Islands - Set Charge: £199.99 (VAT exempt)

*Price on application means you will be charged a starting rate for delivery and will be contacted after your order is placed to be given a postcode charge, depending on your location this will vary. Please note, some charges may be high due to courier surcharges to those locations. Alternatively, you can give us a call on 0845 054 3500 and we will enquire about a full price for you before you place your order.

The charges vary by the location we are delivering to, the easiest way to see what an item would cost to be delivered to you is to add it to the basket. There you will be given a delivery charge which will include your Grand Total. If you have any questions about the charge, please give us a call.

Customer Collection

We offer a customer collection service, where by you can opt to collect your order from our warehouse in Hartlepool. This service is free of charge and should only be used if you are able to collect your goods from our warehouse and not if you require delivery.

Orders will be available to collect from 10am the next working day after order. You can find our warehouse at 103 Whitby Street South, Hartlepool. TS24 7LH.

How We Arrange Delivery

Once your order has been processed we will contact you via email or telephone to confirm your order and arrange a delivery date, unfortunately we cannot provide an exact time for delivery as this is at the carriers discretion.

Delivery lead times are determined by the stock status of the product(s) ordered. We state on all product pages the stock status of that particular product and therefore work to these lead times to ensure we can deliver your order in the best possible condition.

  • In Stock Items - Products displaying the stock status 'Item in Stock  |  Next Day Delivery' are usually dispatched same day if ordered before 15:00 and next working day if ordered after 15:00.
  • Special Order Items - Products displaying any other stock message are ordered in from our suppliers and are subject to longer lead times which will be displayed.

Please be aware, any lead times given are estimates only and while every effort is made to deliver items to you before the maximum date, unforeseen delays may occasionally occur. Please allow up to 28 working days for items to arrive, unless stated otherwise. Please ensure that all delivery details are accurate as incorrect details could lead to a delay in delivery.

Order Times & Delivery Schedule

If the products ordered are all In Stock and ordered before 15:00 the order can normally be processed for delivery the next working day, between the times of 08:00 and 18:00.

In order for us to process your order for delivery next working day all orders must be placed by 15:00. Orders placed after this time will be processed the next working day for delivery the following day. Orders placed between 15:00 on a Thursday and 15:00 on a Friday will normally be delivered on a Monday. Orders placed between 15:00 on a Friday and 09:00 on a Monday will normally be delivered on a Tuesday. However, if Monday is a Bank Holiday, delivery will be on Wednesday.

Our usual days for delivery are the working days of Monday through Friday, however, we can arrange a Saturday delivery for large orders, which would normally be delivered on a pallet. This will be an extra £25 surcharge. Please Contact Us for more information.

Delivery Exceptions

Although we do have a large range of products available in stock, some products can take longer for delivery as sizes and quantities may need to be delivered in from our warehouse. Delivery lead times are stated on product pages and you will be notified, at the point of order, by email or telephone of any extended lead times for your order.

Leader Doors shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the goods within the estimated timescale. Whilst we make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated timescales, occasional delays are unavoidable due to unforeseen factors.

The Day of Delivery

As we utilise a national courier service, using a number of couriers to deliver our goods, we are unfortunately unable to provide an exact time for delivery as this is at the carriers discretion. Delivery times are usually between, but not restricted to, the hours of 08:00 and 18:00. It is assumed that the delivery address is accessible by large lorry, if this is likely to be a problem, please contact us to inform us about any restrictions.

Unfortunately, due to insurance restrictions, couriers are only able to deliver items to ‘kerbside’. It is not their responsibility to take the delivery into your home, it is therefore advisable to make sure that there is adequate help to unload the delivery into your home. If the courier is unable to make a delivery because you were not available, you will be liable for a charge for re-delivery.

Checking of Goods

While problems with deliveries are extemely rare we do ask the following just to be safe.

Leader Doors request that where possible all goods should be checked upon arrival for defects, damage, shortages or unsuitability. Our delivery drivers are instructed to allow you 15 minutes for the checking of goods whenever possible for any obvious signs of damage. All goods MUST be signed for by a person of minimum 18 years old. Please do not sign for goods as received in good condition without checking for any obvious defects, damages or shortages.

Upon receipt of the goods, we understand it may not always be possible to check your order immediately. This is why we request that you do so within the first 24 hours of receiving the goods and please let us know of any damages, defects or problems within the first 24 hours. This will allow us to quickly resolve and replace where necessary.

If you do not notify us of any problems within 24 hours, then we will be unable to rectify any problems and we cannot be held responsible.

Planning Your Job

Leader Doors strongly suggest you DO NOT book any trade person to complete a job involving goods ordered from us, until all parts of your order have been received in good order. We cannot accept any liability for any costs incurred due to damages, defects, faults or issues with goods in transit.

Back Orders

If one of our products is out of stock, the stock status on our website will state indicate this. Please be aware, In some rare instances it may be possible to still order an out of stock product on the website, this is down to the fact we use a dynamic stock system which updates in 30 minute intervals. If you have managed to buy an out of stock item, we will contact you immediately the following day to offer you some suitable solutions.
