The Oak VUFOLD 44mm thick doorsets are faced with 3mm laminations of prime grade Oak. which allows the natural beauty of the wood to shine through, and typically needs to be re-coated every 12 months, subject to location, weather conditions etc.Available sizes: 6', 8', 10', 12', 14' - All in 44mm Thicknesscompliant with Part L and 1.9 W/m2K rating as previous 54mm sets The glazing units are 20mm and Argon filled plus Low E glass draught proofing the same Aluminium Door gear Sill is aluminium without timber combination Finishing has changed and been improved and we are no longer using Sikkens. The Oak sets will have slight tint of colour in them to enhance the UV performance. We have now incorporated 2 types ofmagnets in the sets. The first is a ball catch male and female and second is block magnets. These are shown on the pictures attached and are designed to ensure the doors will hold well in windy conditions as an extra improvement.

FinishingPrior to installation, it is essential to coat all faces and edges of boththe frames and the doors with a good quality sealer to protect frommoisture ingress.At least 3 topcoats will be necessary on top of the sealer coat toadequately seal and protect the wood.Failure to undertake this may result in shrinkage, warping, twistingand splitting of the frame and the doors.Water based stains, paints or varnishes are not recommended.
